Welcome to the 2010 DPBA Season
Membership and participation in the DPBA is about competing against the best Duckpin Bowlers in the country. It’s about the grind of an 8-game Qualifying Round where only those who qualify compete in the Gauntlet of head-to-head competition in the Divisional Round on Sunday. Then comes The Ladder where he who stands at the top is a “Star”.
To be the best you need to bowl against the best. That means supporting your local DPBA Pro-Tour events and traveling to support non-local DPBA events.
2010 aims to be an exciting season as we will crown 8 new “Stars”. There are a few noteworthy changes including the ability of our members to earn a $25 reduction in entry fee to The Master’s. Wearing shorts and drinking continue to be prohibited while participating in DPBA events.
Here are some quick highlights about the 2010. Continue to check the website periodically as we will provide additional information about 2010.

Any member who participates in 4 events prior to The Master’s will receive a $25 reduction in entry fee to The Master’s. There is no requirement to bowl in The Master’s. - Hagerstown:
If you bowl in Hagerstown in 2010, to be eligible for Hagerstown in 2011, you must participate in one additional DPBA event prior to Hagerstown 2011.
It is important that our events begin on time and finish on time. 2010 will bring a renewed focus on punctuality. It is also important for a variety of reasons that you sign up on-time for an event. With that, we will be enforcing the following rules:
- Check in:
Bowler’s must check in prior to 30 minutes before their scheduled shift time. That means bowlers bowling at 8:30am on Saturday must check in prior to 8:00. Any bowler checking in after 8:00 will be fined $10. - Sign up:
All checks must be post-marked by the Friday 1 week prior to the start of a tour event. All checks received with a post-mark after that date and all bowlers who sign up after that date will be fined $10.
